The purpose of the Pastoral team is To be responsible for overseeing the pastoral care of church members.
How do it do this?
- Giving on going, regular support to housegroup leaders, by meeting with them at least once every 3 months , to pray with them for their groups.
- Keeping in contact with leaders of the other groups within the church and meeting with them to offer prayer support.
- To be available to meet requests from housegroup leaders for support with difficult issues, help in setting up 1:1's, counselling etc.
- To be available to support the church leadership with pastoral care issues as requested.
- To keep an up to date list of church memebers willing to help with the above, together with a list of those with specialist skills to help as required. If outside specialist help is required, to know how to access this.
- To arrange leaders meetings 2/3 timsa a year, with a guest speaker when possible.
