Why Worship?
A group of people singing together can often be seen as quite foreign in our culture. Actually, it’s more common than most realize (well, maybe not common in a school hall on a Sunday morning!).
Think of the thousands of football fans singing their anthems together, weekly showing their devotion, to spur their team on, or to distract the opposition!
Think of the many candle-lit cakes around which families have enjoyed a ‘happy birthday’ sing along to celebrate someone becoming a year older.
Think of the countless music fans that will know every word at the gig of their favorite band as they pull the No.1 hits from the bag.
Singing was even a popular form of family entertainment for all ages before the days of TV, radio, or internet.
Singing is also a rich part of our church history.
For centuries believers worldwide have used songs to express praise and worship to God, either alone or in a group.
We are no different.
We place a high value on worship, worship that is true, worship that recognizes God for who He is…the awesome God that deserves all our praise.
We sing with a passion that spills out into our everyday lives, living out what we sing, and engaging with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
What Can I Expect?
Our sung worship times are informal and everybody is encouraged to participate. We value all styles of music, and will usually sing modern choruses led by a band of skilled musicians.
