On Friday 18th of May 2012, Dr Nigel Wright, Principal of Spurgeon’s College, will give a seminar at Here For Good, 17 Sydenham Road, on What On Earth Is The Church
Event starts at 7.45pm, All are welcome
Transform Network Leadership Training
Venue: Crofton Park Baptist Church, SE4 1EB. Fee: £5 per session or £50 for course.
- Saturday 26th May (9.30am—1pm) or Thursday 31st May (7.30 — 9.30pm): “Who is Jesus?” and “Conflict Resolution”.
- Saturday 23rd June or Thursday 28th June: “The Cross” and “Youth Ministry”.
- Saturday 14th July or Thursday 19th July: “Mission” and “Spirituality”.
A Day Prayer and Fasting
One of the spiritual disciplines we want to practice as a church this year is fasting.
On the last Friday of each month, we’ll have a day of prayer and fasting, concluding with an evening of prayer at Here For Good, 8-10pm. Come and join us on Friday, 25th May at 8pm.
This will be followed by getting on to the streets and doing some outreach: Saturday 26th May, 10.30am—1pm.
IGNITE—Prayer for Cross-cultural Workers
Thursday 24th May, 7.45pm at The Bear Church, Shaftesbury Centre, Frankham Street, Deptford SE8 4RN. Come and join us for worship and prayer for cross-cultural workers, both those who live overseas and those here in SE London.

Textile Workshops
Diana McKinnon is holding another series of her excellent experimental textile workshops at Here For Good, 10am—3pm.
- 19th May: Introduction to various techniques (Part 1)
- 23rd June: Introduction to various techniques (Part 2)
- 9th June: More advanced techniques.
Come and try out different ways of working with textiles, and create a piece of art for yourself.

Lewisham Prayer Meeting for The Olympics
This Thursday, 17th May, 7pm at the Lewisham Civic Suite.
Come and join with others from across the borough to pray for London as we prepare for the Olympics and the torch relay as it arrives in the UK the next day (18th). More from Jenny.

Leadership Training Course
We have developed a training course involving teaching on theology and leadership skills together with the other churches in Transform Network. The course is headed up by Israel Olofinjana (Catford CC), and Denis Wade (Micah CC). It takes place at Crofton Park Baptist Church and there is one session a month, with the same subject covered both on a Saturday morning and a Thursday evening. See leaflet for more details.
It begins on 24th March. Cost for whole course £50 or £5 per session. At FHCC we are making it free to anyone under 25 who applies. You do not have to be in an official church leadership position to do the course. If you are interested, please let Nigel, Jenny or Sam know. Thank you.
