Our Teams

A lot goes on at Forest Hill, and we'd be scuppered without the help and work of our wonderful staff and volunteer teams that take on and lead different aspects of our church life.

THE TRUSTEES

We have a fantastic team of trustees who hold the legal and financial responsibility for FHCC

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

The Leadership Team are a crucial part of how FHCC works. They are elected by the congregation and meet monthly to discuss the vision, direction, doctrine and focus of Forest Hill Community Church.

THE YOUTH TEAM

Our youth team are an amazing bunch who devote hours of their free time every week to befriend, teach and nurture the young people of FHCC. They run youth weekends, social nights, bible studies, Sunday morning groups and outreach events.

THE WORSHIP TEAM

We are committed to worshipping God, and at Forest Hill we love to express that by coming into his presence together with singing and rejoicing. We devote a large part of our Sunday meetings to singing in worship together, and we love to use old and new songs, as well as older and younger worship leaders and musicians.
The worship team meet together regularly to worship and grow in skill together.

THE MISSIONS TEAM

We believe that God’s calling on his church is to bring his kingdom in all the world. We love to send short and long term teams and families around the world and support them financially, spiritually and pastorally. The missions team are a small group charged with overseeing care for overseas workers, keeping the issue of overseas work on the agenda of the church as a whole, as well as coordinating with iNet.

THE CHILDREN’S CHURCH TEAM

We love kids, and there’s plenty going on at Forest Hill designed especially for them. The Children’s Church team run the children’s group each Sunday morning for primary ages, combining great teaching, fun games and great activities. There are also regular film afternoons for children at Hope Centre, Malham Road.

WELCOMING TEAM

We want to be great hosts. When new people come, they should be able to feel completely at home and welcomed into our fellowship. While this is the responsibility of the whole church, the Welcoming Team make sure that everyone is spoken to and has the opportunity to meet others, and be invited round to someone’s house for lunch really soon after they visit the church.

THE PASTORAL TEAM

The pastoral team oversees the pastoral needs of all the congregation, so that everyone is supported appropriately by the church and no one gets forgotten.
